Ministry sees all Russian ratings at investment grade in 2019
MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- The Finance Ministry expects Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s to raise Russian ratings to an investment grade in 2019, according to amendments to a state program on management of finances and regulation of financial markets published on Tuesday.
Russia’s long-term credit ratings on international scale awarded by Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s will remain at the highest speculative grade of BB+ or Ba1, but in 2019 they will return to the lowest investment grade of BBB- or Baa3. The rating awarded by Fitch is at the lowest investment level of BBB-.
In 2020, ratings from all the three agencies will rise to A- or A3 – the level above the ratings Russia had before the introduction of sanctions.
